American Energy Systems
American Energy Systems leads the way in manufacturing pellet stoves. And why wouldn’t they since they’ve been in the business for over 30 years, providing the first corn stoves over 20 years ago. Located in Hutchinson, MN, this company produces stoves that have a high 80% efficiency rating and low emissions ratings, and most importantly, American Energy System stoves are multi-fuel stoves. They have a fuel range of shelled corn, wood, cherry pits, waste paper pellets, grass, barley and more. They offer 3 main models to fit your lifestyle and needs.
Countryside Pedestal |
|
Thanks to the proper insulation of the Countryside Pedestal stove, it is cool to the touch on every side. The BTU output depends on the fuel consistency, moisture content and fuel load settings. However it can produce up to 50,000 BTU and it has a 75lb hopper capacity. The self cleaning system and adjustable controls help keep up with the cleaning and maintenance that’s required.

Countryside Insert |
|
This stove is identical to the pedestal with one regard; it’s not freestanding. It too has a 75lb hopper capacity and a self burning pot. It’s available in 6 different colors and has a BTU output of 50,000. Thanks to the multi-fuel source, you can burn fuel that pollutes less, making chimney sweeps less necessary. Wow, that was a lot of S’s. Anyway, if your main goal is to heat up the living room, or just your bedroom, or just the room with the fireplace, this model might be better suited for you.

This model is designed for easy maintenance and cleaning year round. It’s similar to the Countryside Pedestal in features and is also a multi-fuel stove.
